As of this writing at 1:30PM, most of the parking spaces are already occupied. If you are on your way to the beach, we would recommend that you not continue to head to the south beach, but park in the first legal, available spot that you see! You won't regret it!
Don't forget to download and use the ParkTYB app to pay for parking, so you won't have to come back to your vehicle to feed the meter. If you are registered and paid, even at a meter, you are all legal to park! Our parking staff also has an app that will tell them if you are paid via the app. If you are on the beach and already put money in the meter, you can use the app to pay from the beach without returning to your car.
High tide will occur this evening at about 8:30PM. That means if you are camped on the beach below the wrack line, you will have to move all your belongings just before the fireworks begin! Please be sure to make your place above the high tide line, where all the wrack has accumulated, if you are planning to stay for the fireworks.
PLEASE, take your trash off the beach when you depart. If the trash cans on the beach are full, don't leave your trash on the beach, but carry it over the cross-over to the parking lots. If those are full as well, consider taking it home with you, or at the least, put your trash next to the bins in the parking areas. Use the restrooms near the beach, not your hosts' yards! Don't empty your trash from your car at the curb. When departing in traffic, be considerate of your fellow drivers - everyone will be just as stressed out and anxious to leave as you are. Being considerate and polite and reasonable on your way out will make traffic move more quickly for everyone.
Have fun! Relax! Don't be in a rush! Enjoy the show, and enjoy the evening. Stop by one of the shops or restaurants to delay your departure until traffic has thinned a bit.
