The City of Tybee Island is working diligently to determine any possible causal relation between recent ant treatments applied to our public parks and the loss of a local bee colony.
All ant treatments have been suspended. The public parks continue to be safe to use. We will provide definitive answers to all questions and concerns from our citizens. The city will review and modify its current treatment program as required or provide information to the community to help prevent such loss in the future.
