Many have asked recently why the City is tearing out its beach crossovers. While several beach crossovers are closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are not removing any of these structures. The beach crossovers, such as the one at 14th Street, are being improved as a part of our ongoing beach nourishment project. We are repairing, extending and adding beach crossovers before the start of our summer season.
