  1. Public Meeting - Meddin Drive Traffic Plan Proposal

    September 17, 2019, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ The Guard House

Update: Tonight, Tuesday, September 17th, the City of Tybee Island is hosting a public meeting to gather input about turning Meddin Drive into a one-way street and bicycle/pedestrian path. A pedestrian/bike lane is proposed on Meddin Drive that would be painted green to allow for greater visitbility. This proposal also addresses the need for more strategic solutions for bus drop-offs and bus parking, in addition to improving crosswalks near the Lighthouse in the highest pedestrian traffic area. With the relocation of the Tybee Island Marine Sceince Center to the north end in 2020, we will likely see greater traffic of all sorts, and the City is seeking proactive solutions that will work for visitors, residents, businesses and attractions. Please join us to share your thoughts. September 17th, 2019 7:00 PM Guard House - 21 Van Horn

  1. Municipal Court Session

    September 17, 2019, 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Courtroom/Council Chambers

Fine Payment: Traffic and local ordinance fines may be paid at the TIPD. We accept cash, money order, credit/debit cards, and cashier's checks. We do not accept personal checks. If the fine is not paid beforehand, defendant must appear in court at time and date shown on traffic citation or subpoena. Tybee Island Municipal Court has recently enabled online traffic ticket payment at https://www.municipalonlinepayments.com/tybeeislandpdga. This site can only be used to pay police-issued citations online. If your citation requires a personal court appearance, you will be unable to pay online, and you will need to be present at the Court date on your citation. Parking ticket payments online are still done through the "Pay Parking Tickets" link under Online Payments to the left on each page.
