Summer FUN for the kids…designed to fit your schedule
• Choose a combination of days and times to fit your summer schedule.
• We offer ten sessions of Sea Camp.
• Each camp session runs Monday to Friday.
• Sign-up for all five days of a camp session, or any combination of days, mornings, or afternoon modules.
• Each day has two 3-hour modules: Mornings, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. & Afternoons, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
• Each module is $30 (that’s just $10 an hour!)
• Choose both morning and afternoon modules and have your child bring a packed lunch.
• We also offer After-Care each day from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. for an additional $10/day.

South Beach Ecology Walk2019-06-07T13:00:00Join a marine science educator for a guided walk on Tybee’s south beach. Learn about the dynamics of the barrier islands of Georgia, the importance of the intertidal zone, the forces behind tides and waves, and sand dune formation. Identify the wildlife that live in and around the ocean and discuss the impact of marine debris and shoreline development. South Beach Walks meet at the Science Center.

Turtle Talk2019-06-07T14:00:00Loggerheads, Kemp's Ridley, Greens, and Leatherback sea turtles all nest on coastal Georgia's beaches. Join us to learn about the amazing lives of these sea turtles. We'll discuss anatomy, natural adaptations, why sea turtles cry, natal beaches, and Tybee Island's conservation efforts. Afterward we'll head down to the Coastal Gallery to feed our visiting loggerhead sea turtle. Recommended for ages six and above.

Sift and Seine2019-06-07T15:00:00Discover the marine life of the intertidal zone through seining. Pull a ten-foot seine net through waist deep water to catch, examine, and release marine life. Commonly caught organisms include pompanos, silversides, mullets, sea jellies, and crabs. After seining, we’ll explore the marine life of the sandy bottom by sifting various organisms from the wet sand on the beach. Recommended for participants nine years and older.

Marsh Trek2019-06-07T16:00:00Trek through Georgia’s salt marsh, where you’ll get hands-on exploration in the mud searching for fiddler crabs, snails, and more. Examine salty grasses, observe soaring marsh birds, and hum with periwinkle snails. Learn about adaptations necessary for survival in this environment, how the marsh functions as a nursery for many organisms, a filter for pollutants, and as an abundant food source. **REQUIRED - Please wear closed-toed, closed-heel shoes, such as rain boots or old tennis shoes (no flip flops or Crocs) and expect to get muddy.** The proper shoes are required to participate in the program. You will not be refunded if you do not wear the proper shoes. Not recommended for kids under six years old. Marsh Treks meet off-site, on the north end of the island at Spanish Hammock. Directions are emailed with paid program confirmation.

Like the classic film noir tales spun by the masters, he takes on a routine missing persons case which slowly reveals itself to be a complex interwoven web of crimes, suspects and dead bodies. When he discovers his long-lost daughter is the number one suspect, he races a ticking clock to save her, solve the murders, and uncover the town's dirty secrets.
The film also stars Morgan Freeman and Brendan Fraser. Rated R.
