  1. Behind the Scenes Aquarium Tour

    March 19, 2019, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ The UGA Education Center and Aquarium

    Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at the UGA Aquarium? During the week of spring break, we're offering special behind-the-scenes tours on March 19 and March 21 for families. Spend the afternoon exploring our exhibits and learning about what it’s like to care for our native marine animals during a behind-the-scenes tour led by an aquarium educator. Children ages 5 and up are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Registering before the event is encouraged but not required. Register online here to reserve a space. Questions?     "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" With the kids out of school this week, we thought we’d help families find something fun to do! We’ve got a couple of cool family-friendly movies to keep the kids busy for a couple of hours. First up is “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” a front-runner for the Best Animated Film Oscar at the Academy Awards, and winner in that category at the Golden Globes. Bitten by a radioactive spider, Marvel Comics teenager Miles Morales suddenly develops mysterious powers that transform him into Spider-Man. He must now use his newfound skills to battle the evil Kingpin, a hulking madman who can open portals to other universes. Rated PG Four screenings, March 19-20, 3&7 pm.

    The Historic Preservation Commission meets monthly. Meetings typically occur the third Monday each month at 6pm in the auditorium at City Hall.
