    May 9, 2018, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM @ Courtroom/Council Chambers

SHRC - Savannah Harm Reduction Coalition Lesli Messinger, Naloxone Educator/Provider, will be at the Tybee Island Courthouse on Wednesday, May 9th at 6:30 pm to give a presentation on the use of Naloxone. (Open to the general public) What is Naloxone? Naloxone is a medication designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdose. It is an opioid antagonist—meaning that it binds to opioid receptors and can reverse and block the effects of other opioids. It can very quickly restore normal respiration to a person whose breathing has slowed or stopped as a result of overdosing with heroin or prescription opioid pain medications.
