City Council Workshop to discuss CIP and Marsh Hen Trail
November 15, 2018, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM @ Courtroom/Council Chambers
The City of Tybee Island wishes to continue its commitment to building resilience against hurricanes and flooding on the island. To do so, the city has hired a consultant to apply to the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) program for funding to pursue additional residential elevation projects. Accordingly, the City will be hosting a public meeting on Thursday, November 15th, at 6:30 PM at the Public Safety Building to discuss the application process, how this grant application differs from the previously submitted Hazard Mitigation Grant Program application, (and it IS a different program - the house raisings on Lewis Ave are part of the HMGP process, NOT the FMA!), and answer any questions that you may have. Should you have any questions regarding the public meeting, please contact George Shaw, Director of Community Development, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 912-472-5031.
