We try to hold 'standing' beach cleanings on Sunday afternoons, weather permitting, in addition to hosting group sweeps. Since we rotate our locations to ensure we clean all of Tybee's 3 mile stretch of beach, please check http://tybeecleanbeach.simpl.com/calendar.html to find out where and when we'll next be cleaning, or email tybeecleanbeach@gmail.com to join our Google group. If you are planning to join us, go to the announced meeting location, look for the Tybee Clean Beach Volunteers banner, pick up a bucket & grabber, and hit the beach for as long as you like, typically an hour. When finished, simply leave the full bucket and grabber by the cart since we sort and recycle as much of the trash as possible. Pretty simple, very satisfying!

A toast to the 10th Annual Tybee Wine Festival at an evening of roasted oysters and pig pickin’ with bubbles and beer on the lawn in front of the beautifully restored Tybee Post Theater. We’ll have a mountain of oysters, a pig, pulled pork and brisket with all the fixin’s under a big tent for this delightfully casual and fun event. Then we’ll all move into the Theater for a lively concert starring Spec Hosti and his bluegrass band. And everyone takes home a souvenir oyster knife and commemorative 2018 Tybee Wine Festival wine glass.

Winnings with overall jackpot $1500.00- family friendly fun! Legion burgers and dawgs served in the hall. Live entertainment in the Canteen for adults.
