January 26, 2018, 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM @ Tybee Post Theater
This is going to be one special night, folks. Two extraordinarily talented songwriters and performers, one from Los Angeles, one from Athens, but both with deep roots in the South, together on our stage.
Savannah native Jill Knight's soulful sound is unmistakable. Her music delivers a southern texture blending Americana, blues and weaving in a little R & B that will take the listener on an unforgettable journey. Tybee may remember Jill’s unforgettable performance with Tony Arata at a Post fundraiser about five years ago.
Grammy nominated-Caroline Aiken was born in Atlanta and spent years of touring and performing from New York to California, but moved back to Atlanta in the early ‘80s opening for the likes of Arlo Guthrie, Muddy Waters, Doc Watson, Bonnie Raitt, Little Feat and more, “… where her bluesy voice, masterful finger picking guitar style and hypnotizing stage presence anchored the city’s acoustic and folk scene.

TIPD-VIP TYBEE ISLAND ADULT GROUP - HELPING OUR NEIGHBORS
TIPD Chief Robert Bryson has created a new group propelled by adult residents giving back to each other - helping to accomplish whatever needs to be done for the comfort and companionship of fellow residents. The YMCA has come on board to give their support, and our restaurants have come forward, too, giving their goods and support to this project.
Visit with your neighbors, and learn more about what we can do for our friends on the island.
Our ultimate goal is for a kinder, happier group of helpful neighbors on Tybee. If you are unable to attend, due to health or other needs, you are one of our more cherished VIP’s. We are seeking to offer our help. If you are not needing help, we need you to help others, and if you need help getting the garbage out from your second story house, but have a need to give back, well… we need you too!
Attend these monthly meetings with island restaurants contributing free lunches!
