The City of Tybee Island Participates in E-Verify

The City of Tybee Island’s E-Verify Identification Number for the Employee Eligibility Verification Program is #72007. 

 

The E-Verify Employment Eligibility Verification Program (EEV) involves verification checks on the Social Security Administration (SSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) databases, using an automated system to verify the employment authorization of all newly hired employees, regardless of citizenship, after completion of the Employment Eligibility Verification From (Form I-9).  The City of Tybee Island has been complying with E-Verify since December 2007.

How do I get started?

Start by applying for an open position.  Jobs that are available are posted on the website or on the bullentin board at City Hall.

This page lists the title, salary, essential functions, qualifications and the last date for accepting applications.  You can download an application from the job posting.  You may also view the list of current openings and obtain copies of the job description at City Hall at 403 Butler Avenue.

Submit your application to the Human Resources Department, Monday through Friday between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, up to the job's closing date.

Submit a separate application for each position that you apply for.


What happens to my application?

Your application is reviewed by the Department Head to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications.  It is very important that you complete the application thoroughly and include all work experience.  Also include other information that is relevant to the job such as licenses, professional affilitations, classes you have completed, and all other special qualifications.

How will I be notified if I'm found to be qualified for the job?

The Human Resources Manager will contact you for an interview.
