The City
Manager reports to the City Council and the Mayor, implements
the directives and actions of the City Council and is responsible for the daily
operations of the City. The City Manager is to provide guidance and information
to the City Council, provide resources to the city staff, administers the business affairs of the City and acts as a conduit
for information between individuals, departments and officials.

Diane Schleicher took office in May of 2006. After spending almost 12 years as the Administrator for the Village of Waterford, Wisconsin, Diane has returned to her home state of Georgia to work for Tybee Island, Georgia.
Diane Schleicher is a graduate of the University of Georgia (B.A. 1980) and has a Masters of Public Administration Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (MPA 1993)
